About Us: The Regional History of Sullivan County, NY and Pike County, PA.

The Best Kept Secret

Black Lake, Sullivan County, New York.

Less than two hours from midtown Manhattan, we are the perfect destination for weekend and vacation retreats. We have crystal clear mountain lakes, the pristine Delaware River, breathtaking vistas, lush forests, rolling fields and miles and miles of winding country roads.

Sullivan County, NY and Pike County, PA have many exciting outdoor activities to experience throughout the seasons. Time is your only restriction on activities: swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, skiing, and skating, horseback riding, golfing, antiquing, fine dining and summer theaters.

This area is home to several pairs of bald eagles which can be seen outside our office on the Delaware River as well as in the local eagle watching sanctuaries. During their winter breeding season there have been over 100 eagle sightings.

A haven for history buffs.

The Roebling Bridge built by John A. Roebling, the engineer for the Brooklyn Bridge, is 5 minutes from our office up Route 97 (Upper Delaware Scenic Byway) a nationally designated Scenic Byway. Near this same site is the Minisink Battleground and the great western novelist Zane Grey’s summer home.

Home of the original 1969 Woodstock Festival, now the Bethel Woods Center of the Arts, the 15,000 seat outdoor performing arts venue with a Museum dedicated to the Woodstock Festival.

We look forward tp taking you on a tour of our magical area. One trip and you will understand why so many call this place Home.
